What if the couple signed online?

In Weddtap Pro, the quote goes out as a link, the couple signs on their phone, and the wedding opens in your dashboard. No PDF to chase.

A template to adapt: what a quote must include depends on your status and activity. If in doubt, ask your accountant.

The maths, plainly

Key takeaways

3 amountsworked out for you: the total, the deposit on signing and the balance, with its date.

  • The generator builds a wedding planner’s quote from your service lines, with the total, VAT if you charge it, the deposit and a balance dated from the wedding date.
  • You set the prices, the deposit (0 to 100%), the balance deadline and the validity yourself: the tool suggests no fee.
  • The quote can be copied, downloaded as a spreadsheet or printed on A4, with an “Accepted” line and room for the signature.

How it’s worked out

  1. 01Each line is its quantity times its unit price; the total before tax is the sum of the lines.
  2. 02VAT is added at the rate you enter, or you can leave it out if you’re not VAT-registered.
  3. 03The deposit is a percentage of the total; the balance is the rest, dated the number of days you choose before the wedding.
  4. 04It all happens in your browser: nothing is sent, nothing is kept.

Frequently asked questions

Quote questions

What should a wedding planner’s quote include?
Your contact and business details, the couple’s name, the wedding date, each service with its price, the total with or without VAT, the payment terms, how long the quote is valid, and an “Accepted” line with a signature. The exact requirements depend on your status.
What deposit should you ask for on signing?
That’s yours to set. It makes sense: it reserves your date, which can’t then be offered to another couple. The tool lets you choose the percentage and works out the amount.
Do you need to charge VAT?
It depends on your status. If you aren’t VAT-registered you don’t charge it, and you note that on the quote; the tool then adds “VAT not charged”. Otherwise, enter your rate. If in doubt, ask your accountant.
How long should a quote stay valid?
Thirty days is common, but it’s up to you. A close or much-requested wedding date justifies a shorter period.

Wedding planner contract: the clauses that really protect you

A contract is useless while everything goes well. It matters the day the wedding is postponed, the couple disputes an invoice, or a supplier lets you down. The clauses not to forget, and the ones that get written badly.

Timelines, run sheets, proposals and checklists filed by wedding, under your name, and shared with your suppliers in one link.
