Prismm is closing: where should your seating plans go?

Weddtap Pro

The short answer

Prismm (formerly Allseated) is a 2D and 3D floor-plan tool used by venues and planners. According to Cvent’s help pages (Cvent acquired it in 2025), Prismm became view-only on 1 October 2026 and closes on 31 December 2026, with users directed to Cvent Event Diagramming. Weddtap Pro does not do 3D: it does a to-scale seating plan tied to the guest list and their replies, where every guest finds their seat by typing their name on the day. If what you need is a three-dimensional view of a room, Cvent or another 3D specialist will serve you better.

About Prismm

Prismm started as Allseated: a to-scale floor-plan tool in 2D and 3D, with virtual walkthroughs, built first for venues and large events.

Cvent, an event-software company, announced the acquisition in April 2025. According to Cvent’s help pages read in October 2026, migration to Cvent Event Diagramming began on 13 May 2026, Prismm has been view-only since 1 October 2026 and stops on 31 December 2026.

What Prismm does well

  • 3D floor plans to scale, with the venue’s walls, doors and furniture: something Weddtap does not do.
  • A virtual walkthrough you can show the couple before moving a single chair.
  • A large library of venues already drawn, mostly in the United States.

Choose Prismm if…

  • You run a venue and sell a 3D walkthrough before the booking: look at Cvent Event Diagramming, which takes over from Prismm.
  • You draw trade shows and conferences, with booths and stages, not only tables.

Choose Weddtap Pro if…

  • You are a wedding planner and what you need is a seating plan tied to guest replies, not a 3D model.
  • You want guests to find their seat on their own, that evening, with no board at the entrance.
  • You want a guest page, a run sheet per supplier and the seating plan in one place, at a flat price.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I import my Prismm plans into Weddtap?
Not the 3D drawings. You recreate your tables in a few minutes (name, shape, seats), then paste your guest list: that is what matters. If you want to keep your plans, export them as PDF before the shutdown.
Does Weddtap do 3D plans?
No, and it is not planned: a wedding planner needs to know who sits where, and guests need to find it. For 3D, Cvent or another specialist will suit you better.
