New: meet Weddy, the best man who helps you plan it all, now in The Big Day

Online table plan

Your wedding table plan, online: every guest finds their seat

With Weddtap, you draw the room and seat your guests household by household. On the day, each guest scans the QR code or opens the link, types their name, and their table lights up on the plan, typos and all. Included in The Big Day, £59 paid once.

Getting it ready

You seat your guests once

  • Drag and drop on a computer, tap to seat on a phone
  • Round, long or top tables, which you can rotate
  • Seat counts, and the households not yet seated

The QR code

A QR code at the entrance and on the tables

  • A poster in your words: “Scan to find your table”
  • A5 on the tables, A3 at the entrance
  • The same code as on the invitation: nothing new to explain

How it works

Your online table plan in three steps

  1. 01

    RSVPs fill the list

Every household that says yes lands in your list, with first names. Anyone else, you type in.

  2. 02

    You draw the room

Place your tables, drag the households. Seats count themselves.

  3. 03

On the day, the QR code

At the entrance and on the tables: everyone types their name and finds their seat.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the online table plan

How do I make a wedding table plan online?
Add your tables to the plan of the room, then drag each household onto theirs. The names come from your guest list and your RSVPs. On the day, guests find their table on your wedding website.
How do guests find their table?
They scan the QR code or open the link, type their name, and the plan appears with their table highlighted. Two letters start the search; a typo or a missing accent won’t stop it.
Do guests need to download an app?
No, neither you nor your guests. It’s a web page that opens in the phone’s browser. Opened once with signal, it reopens even if the venue has none.
Is the table plan free?
No: it’s included in The Big Day, £59 paid once, with no subscription. Your guests’ RSVPs stay free. Before paying, you see the table plan screen with your own guests.
Can I change the plan on the day?
Yes. Move a household from one table to another: guests see their new seat as soon as they reopen the page with signal.
Can I print the table plan?
Yes. The plan of the room and the list of households by table print, or save as a PDF, from the editor: for the caterer, the venue, or a board next to the QR code.
How is it different from Canva or Excel?
Canva draws a lovely image and Excel keeps a list: both need redoing at every change. Weddtap starts from your RSVPs, the plan updates itself, and guests check it on their phones on the day.
