Is my data, and my guests’ data, safe? Who has access?
Passwords are protected, the bank card never passes through Weddtap and the data is hosted in Paris. You (and your other half) can access the full data; your guests only see the published page.
What’s in place
- Passwords never stored in clear, eight characters minimum, already leaked passwords refused.
- Bank card entered on Stripe, never on Weddtap.
- Nothing is sold or rented, and guest pages carry no advertising trackers.
- Data hosted in Europe (Paris); processors: Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Stripe.
What Weddtap keeps about your guests
- their name, whether they’re coming, the number of children if you ask, a dietary need ticked from a closed list
- the free-text “notes for the caterer” field (an allergy is health data) is closed by default
- everything is deleted 12 months after the wedding
To exercise your rights (access, correction, erasure, a copy, objection), write to us: we reply within a month, and you can also complain to the data protection authority (the CNIL in France). If a wedding planner created your page, they have access to it too.
